Yarrow tea is brewed from the dried flowers of the yarrow plant, a herb native to Europe and Western Asia. Its Latin name, Achillea millefollium, is inspired by the ancient Greek warrior-hero Achilles, who was said to take yarrow onto the battlefield as a wound-healing herb. The tea is famously useful for being able to break a fever by allowing us to sweat freely. It can be blended with peppermint and elderflower and used to combat colds and flus. The warm or cold tea can also be taken to combat cystitis.
